Monthly album rating and recommendations.

Once again we are back with another month of album recommendations and selections from the Underground artists. Some of these are full-on rap, some might be a mix of pop-rap and others might have a few drill songs in the album. Make sure to read last month’s selections Rap Albums from Underground artists in June”. The details and rating given to the album are within my own decision and my personal opinion (I want to clarify that to people who get offended by it).

The Golden Child — Eli Fross

The first album I will tell you about will be “The Golden Child” by Eli Fross. This will be the third studio album released by Eli Fross (according to Spotify. It was released on July 20, 2022. It consists of thirteen tracks. It comes with features from Sleepy Hallow, Fredo Bang and Leaf Lzz. It was written by Elijah Quamina, Johnathan Scott, Karel Jorge, Khalif Jones and many others. Great John and Equinox also produced it. I know Eli Fross from the features he has with Sleepy Hallow and Sheff G. He is also one of the co-owner of the record label “Winners Circle Entertainment” which is also co-owned by Sleepy Hallow, Sheff G and Great John. One of the songs that made me find out about Eli was “Steppas Freestyle” which featured Sleepy Hallow of course.

The album is really good with a mixture of both drill rap, melodic rap and normal regular rap. Two of my favourite songs from the album will be Menance with Fredo Bang and Off Beat. I will rate the album a solid 8 out of 10 and would strongly recommend the album to everyone to listen.

Well Sed — Seddy Hendrix

The next album that's on the list and we are going to talk about is “Well Sed” by Seddy Hendrix. It was released on July 13th, 2022. It consists of ten tracks. It consists of features from Fivio Foreign, T-pain. The written and producer credits are not provided on the Spotify tab. I found out about his newly released album with the pre-release of the song with Fivio Foreign, which is called “Groovy”. I heard the song and liked it and was very intrigued about the song. Tapped on the song to find out more about it and found out he just released an album with the song, saw the month it was released, downloaded it and listened to it. Fast forward and we are here talking about the album.

The album is different, and it comes with a more convincing sound and a more relaxed vibe. When I was listening to it, I just felt relaxed, because it's something you can for sure vibe to and it sounds very much like club music that is just playing in the background. I would rate the album a 7 out of 10. Not a bad rating and not a bad album, I 100% recommend you all to have a listen.

Vibe Forever — K CAMP

The next album we have on the list is going to be “Vibe Forever” by K CAMP. It was released on July 29th, 2022. It consists of 12 tracks on the album. It comes with features from Ne-Yo and Doe Boy. It was written by Darrius Daquan Clapp, Kristopher Campbell, Trevon Campbell, Kenneth Smith Jr, Traevon Walker and many more. It was also produced by J-Rod, Lemmy, Black, Keyman, and XL Eagle. We all know K CAMP, and if you don't know who he is. He is the one that made the famous and viral song on Tiktok which is “Lottery” famously known as Renegade. He really blew up drastically because of the song going viral on tiktok and a lot of dancers and tiktok creators using the song. The song even got into a famous show known as “Shameless”.

The album is a normal project, nothing much to it. The songs on the album are not bad or trash, they are decent and match the type of flow and sound K CAMP is going for. I will rate the album a 7 out of 10 and if you all want to listen, you could go do so.

RAGE — JDot Breezy

The last album we have on the list is going to be “Rage” by Jdot Breezy. It was released on July 29th, 2022. It consists of 15 songs and it comes with features from Foulout Sosa, Whoppa With Da Choppa, and Spinabenz. It was written by Jack Richard, Jacourey Rivers, Philip Carter and many more. It was also produced by Astro In Da Cut and Yakree.

The album is very generic, the same thing over and over and the same thing that has been rapped about by many different trap artists. Nothing too exciting about the album. I would rate the album a 5 out of 10.
